The NEED FOR THE LIONS MOBILE DIABETES AWARENESS UNIT

 Funding for people already diagnosed with Diabetes

 (1)    In the health care system in the Province of British Columbia

         · 80 Diabetes Education Centre (DEC) across the Province
         · Service only to people already diagnosed and living with diabetes


(2)    In the non-government sector

         · Canadian Diabetes Association - focus on diabetes research, education, service and advocacy, for people also diagnosed and living with Diabetes.
         · The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on the other hand, raises funds for research to find a cure.

Funding for high-risks group but unaware and undiagnosed with Diabetes
